How to Use the STT150 Pipe Threading Machine
- Place the machine on a stable, level surface and secure it firmly before operation.
- Select the correct die set matching the pipe diameter (2 1/2"-4" or 5"-6") and install it into the self-open die head.
- Insert the steel pipe into the die head and adjust the support so that the pipe is aligned with the center of the threading head.
- Start the machine and select the appropriate rotation speed (9 rpm or 24 rpm) according to the pipe size and material.
- Feed the die head onto the pipe evenly; the self-open die head will open automatically once the preset thread length is reached.
- Reverse the rotation to withdraw the die head, remove the pipe and clean the finished threads with cutting oil.
Safety Precautions & Maintenance
- Always wear protective gloves and safety goggles when operating the machine.
- Never touch rotating parts while the machine is running; keep hands and loose clothing away from the die head.
- Apply cutting oil during threading to reduce friction, protect the dies and extend tool life.
